I was the lead art director at TVGLA responsible for NBA's email communications and design systems (for email). I worked closely with internal copywriting, internal art directors, and the CRM team on the NBA.
When I joined the team, the NBA had no design system in place for their email comms. which lead to inconsistent creative across all emails, impacting their overall brand integrity. I created a design system using Figma that was compromised of brand assets like logos, type, colors and modules.
The email designs were image only and eventually evolved into a full html design system which the NBA's team produced in braze after me and my team lead the design and pre-production in Figma/braze.
